Relaxing Day At Mahogany Bay In Roatan Honduras

By the time third excursion day rolled around, we were pretty tired and sun-drained! So we opted for a relaxing day at Mahogany Bay in Roatan Honduras, rather than another high-energy excursion. When I purchased this excursion, it included kayaking for 2, as well as the beach rental for 2, and as an added bonus I didn’t even know about, was a pair of rafts! As you probably noticed in the video, we didn’t end up doing the kayaking because we were simply to relaxed and tired by then to do it, haha, so we skipped on the kayaking.

When you first arrive in the port and exit the cruise ship, you exit directly onto the port, there isn’t a water taxi for this port. Which I really love, because you usually lose precious time when you have to enter via a water taxi. As you walk in to the port, you go right into the shops, bars and eateries! It’s also a very short walk to the chair lift, which is what took us to the beach. (NOTE: you can also walk over, you don’t have to use the chair lift, but the view from up there is beautiful) We started our day by grabbing our chair spot on the beach before they were all gone. Nikki spent most of her time lounging on the beach while I ventured out to the water and did some snorkeling. After that we had some food at the eatery that was right there at the beach, and not only were the food portions HUGE, it was really GOOD food too! From there we caught the chairlift back to the shops and to do some souvenir shopping before reboarding the ship.
